Comptia A+ Academy prepares students to earn two industry recognized certifications in technology, the IC3 and Comptia A+. These certifications are helpful when trying to obtain entry level employment in Information Technology. In this course, you will acquire the essential skills and information you will need to install, configure, optimize, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and perform preventive maintenance on PCs, digital devices, and operating systems.  This free course is funded by TechHire Maine, Coastal Counties Workforce, Inc., and the Maine Department of Education. Participants must be Maine residents age 17-29, unemployed or underemployed, not currently enrolled in secondary school, and able to meet testing and assessment requirements. The class is from January 19- April 14, Monday and Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The class is held via Zoom.
