Microsoft Word for Beginners

Word is the most popular word processing application in use today. In this course, students will gain a solid understanding of the basic concepts and features in Word. The course will primarily cover creating and revising documents, formatting text, using tools such as Spell Check and Microsoft Word's built in thesaurus, and printing documents so that they maintain their formatting. Students must be familiar with Windows and have basic computer skills. This course utilizes Microsoft Word 2016.

Microsoft Word can be used for much more than word processing. This course will cover some of Word's features such as tables, text features, borders, graphics, lists, mail merges, and much more. Using these concepts, students will be able to create professional looking documents such as letters, resumes, cover sheets, and flyers. This class utilizes Microsoft Word 2016.
