The ability to understand and communicate medical information fluently is an important skill for many professionals including: medical transcriptionists, medical billing and coding professionals, pharmaceutical representatives, insurers, medical equipment providers, healthcare providers, and anyone who is required to communicate with medical professionals. This course will begin with a basic introduction to the most common methods for creating and interpreting medical terminology from word parts. This will be followed by a survey of body structure, color, and oncology terminology. The balance of the course will use a systematic approach to understand the unique terminology associated with most of the major body systems. The textbook is included in the course price.
